Insulation - Attic blown-in, walls, floors & air duct wrap

Heating and cooling account for 50 to 70% of the energy used in the average American home. Inadequate insulation and air leakage are leading causes of energy waste in most homes. Insulation saves money and our nation's limited energy resources, makes your house more comfortable by helping to maintain a uniform temperature throughout the house, and makes walls, ceilings, and floors warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer.

Duct Sealing

In houses with forced-air heating and cooling systems, ducts are used to distribute conditioned air throughout the house. In a typical house, however, about 20 percent of the air that moves through the duct system is lost due to leaks and poorly sealed connections. The result is higher utility bills and difficulty keeping the house comfortable, no matter how the thermostat is set.

Air Sealing of attic and floor envelopes

Air leakage, or infiltration, occurs when outside air enters a house uncontrollably through cracks and openings. Properly air sealing such cracks and openings in your home can significantly reduce heating and cooling costs, improve building durability, and create a healthier indoor environment.

Insulation removal

There are many reasons insulation may need to be removed from attics, sidewalls and crawl spaces, whether it's fire damage, water damage - leaving it wet or molding, animal infestation/ contamination, age - needs replacing or there's an allergy to existing materials.

Vapor Barriers

The purpose of the vapor barrier to prevent that movement or penetration of moisture from one area to another. Placed between the inside of the house and the insulation, the vapor barrier acts as a physical shield to repel the moisture and keep it from entering enclosed cavities where it can do serious damage.

Duct replacement

Deterioration, severe mold growth, or damage may make it more cost effective to replace than to repair some ducting.

Duct cleaning

Duct cleaning refers to the cleaning of various heating and cooling system components of forced air systems. If not properly installed, maintained, and operated, these components may become contaminated with particles of dust, pollen or other debris.

Crawl Space Clean-outs

Rodent droppings, dead critters, ruined insulation, leftover construction materials and assorted debris create a variety of environmental health hazards.
